My Story
Fitness has been a part of my life since high school. I fell in love with getting stronger and learning what my body was capable of. Then I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and went through a season where I was incredibly sick. Around the same time, my mom was diagnosed with cancer, and life suddenly looked very different.
Then, I became a mom while I was still in college. I loved motherhood, but postpartum was hard. I didn't recognize my body, and somewhere along the way, I felt like I had lost myself. Eventually, I found my way back to the gym. I started small, got stronger, and slowly began feeling like me again.
Then I lost my mom.
I gained the weight back and felt like I was starting over. I became pregnant again, only to lose our baby at 16 weeks. And then eventually, I got pregnant with my twins, and postpartum brought another season of exhaustion, overwhelm, and struggling to recognize myself.
But I decided to start again.
I started moving my body, not striving for perfection, but instead consistency. I stopped trying to punish my body into changing and started learning how to take care of it. While breastfeeding my twins, I lost 50 pounds, but the weight loss wasn't the biggest transformation.
Finding myself again was.
I realized fitness wasn't about getting my old body back. It was about becoming stronger for the life I have now.
That's why I became a personal trainer and why I created RECLAIM HER… to help moms reconnect with their bodies, rebuild their strength, and feel like themselves again.
You don't need to become who you were before motherhood.
You just need to reclaim her. 🤍
